Kalina Converse is the Director and Founder of Arizona Yoga Academy and Teacher Training.
She developed the program after realizing that Yoga Teacher Training programs should be fun and filled with people who become your family.
Her program produces some of the BEST teachers in the industry with high expectations and standards for her students.
She strives to bring her students a well-rounded yoga education rich in history and philosophy while having fun in the postures.
She has been practicing yoga for over 13 years. Kalina began yoga to calm her mind, body, and spirit; her passion for yoga grew and she decided to share her love of yoga with others by becoming an instructor. Kalina is a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance: E-RYT200, RYT 500 and YACEP
Kalina has taught many different modalities of yoga including: Power, Hot Yoga, Restorative, Yin, Prenatal/Postnatal, Mommy and Me, Teen, Family, Yoga with Wine, Partner, Goat, Glow, Trauma Release, Yoga for Insomnia, Yoga for Depression, Yoga for Recovery, Yoga for Yoga for Athletes, Yoga for Absolute Beginners, Yoga for Girl Scouts, Kids Camp, Chair, Senior, Vinyasa, Meditation, Hatha, and Private Yoga Lessons….basically everything!
Kalina has vast experience in many different areas but perhaps her favorite is being Director of Arizona Yoga Academy 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training. Her true passion lies within teaching students how to become certified yoga instructors. She has a gift for teaching in a patient and enthusiastic way to various types of learners. She has a great imagination and uses fun and creativity to help her students learn and truly understand the topics. She believes that ANY body can do yoga and she has a "no person left behind" mentality, insuring that every one of her students understands each topic before moving on. Kalina is passionate about yoga philosophy and history but loves teaching about the anatomy and physiology as it pertains to yoga.
When she’s not teaching yoga, Kalina homeschools her six children. She loves that yoga teaches us to reconnect body and breath, slowing down from our busy lives, and to let go of things that are not serving us—to live every day presently and cherish every moment.
Arizona Yoga Academy uses only the best instructors in the field to offer insight into various areas to our Yoga Teacher Trainees. We pride ourselves on introducing several different yoga methods during YTT and offer an introduction in:
*Restorative & Yoga Nidra
*Prenatal and Children's Yoga
